A few people who had worked ahead got to make these awesome microwave rice krispe treats today in class. These went swimmingly! They tasted really good! The only thing I'd reccommend doing differently would maybe be a little more butter and make sure you mix it really well! Other than that I enjoyed the flavor and consistency, everything! These, I think were very similar but way easier to make than the microwave mug cakes. That's probably because these aren't such a solid mixture and there's some space for the ingredients to move around quite a bit more. I've posted a quick recipe for them down below, enjoy! :)
Yield: Makes 1 serving
Ingredients:
1/2 Tablespoon unsalted butter
4 large marshmallows, or 1/2 cup mini marshmallows 1 cup Rice Krispies cereal
Directions:
In a microwave-safe mug, microwave butter on high until completely melted. Add marshmallows and microwave for 20 seconds more. (Marshmallows will puff up, so be careful to not let them overflow from mug.) Remove from microwave and stir until smooth.
Stir in cereal until well blended.
Enjoy!
