Today in advanced foods we tried our skills at making delicious custard and crème brûlée recipes. I chose to make a delicate crème brûlée which turned out fantastically. I brought some home to my family and they loved my dish! I served it with whipped cream, raspberries, and blackberries on top, a nice pairing to the rich and creamy custard. I also chose to coat the tops with a lightly browned combination of brown sugar and white sugar. It caramelized and turned out just perfect. I would definitely make this recipe again at home, in fact I highly recommend it! It does require a double broiler but I placed a large pyrex glass measuring dish over a smaller pot of boiling water and that seemed to do the trick. Enjoy! (Click here for a recipe!)
